Women and Birds
a sijo

Dawn sang to me in the voices
of women and birds.

The robins will all fly south
to return some spring morn.

Does love ever again seek
the nest it once knew?

Yes, the flocks of robins were passing through here on this cold (for Florida) morning and gave me the idea for this little piece. I hadn't attempted a sijo in a while but the form seemed suitable.
