A Song of Christmas (a song lyric)

A SONG OF CHRISTMAS

vs 1:
Sing me a song of Christmas
Sing me a carol of cheer
I'll get into the spirit
I'll have no time for a tear
Sing me a song of Christmas
Let me be happy a while
I'll put aside these worries
And I'll put on a smile

ch:
Sing me a song of Christmas
Remind me I belong
Sing of all that's right
In a world that seems wrong
Sing it everywhere
I'll try to sing along
Sing me a song of Christmas
I'll join in that song

vs 2:
Sing me a song of Christmas
and come what morrow may be
I'll try to remember the tune
And carry it with me
Sing of Christmas morning
The end of every fear
Oh, sing me a song of Christmas
Sing me a carol of cheer

Just under the wire! This rather rough idea for a song lyric came out of me this morning. I guess I have a whole year to polish it up now.
